Hey everyone!
There are two reasons to get together at a wall this week: the first VR version of PAINTSESSIONS.COM is available now, and the Halloween collaboration has started at the Factory. I’m excited to finally share VR with you and see what everyone creates for the event!
Step into the world in VR
You can now paint in VR with Supporter access. VR shares the same world with desktop and mobile players, so you can meet at the same wall and paint together, whatever device everyone is using.
I’ve reworked the painting system to support VR properly, including the angle of the can, your distance from the wall, and trigger pressure. Move your hand to draw, turn the can as you paint, and try the different caps to find the marks you like.
Familiar features come with you: painting tools, colors, layers, chat, avatar customization, photos, and replay all work in VR. You can also choose smooth movement or teleporting and adjust the world scale and can position to make painting feel more comfortable.
How to get started
Open PAINTSESSIONS.COM in your headset’s browser. If you use a headset connected to a PC, connect it and start its VR app first, then open PAINTSESSIONS.COM in your PC browser. Sign in with your Supporter account, enter the painting app, and choose Enter VR from the menu.
VR has been tested on Rift and Quest devices. You’ll need a headset and browser that support VR. The indicator beside Enter VR shows whether VR is available. If it isn’t ready, check that your headset is connected and its VR app is running, or try another browser.

The Halloween collab is underway! The event takes over the Factory until .
How to join
On the site, click the ▼ next to “Paint Now” and select Halloween Paint Jam.
Even if you haven’t signed up, you’re welcome to come in and spectate!
Still time to sign up
Missed the signup? Registration is still open on the Events page. More painting invitations will go out in waves if slots are available.
Signing up does not guarantee a painting spot, but you can still join as a spectator while you wait.
Where the painting starts
The starting point is the third segment of the Factory, the one with the ladder connecting the ground and first floors. The plan is to work upstairs before moving into the next segment.
Your painting space
The moderation team has assigned spaces for this event. Since this is the first collab event, the team is trying out how best to organize everyone, and your feedback will help improve future sessions. Nothing is set in stone!
